Simple Salmon Steaks with White Wine

This easy salmon steaks recipe is ready to eat in less than ½ hour and only uses 3 ingredients, so if you think you’ve no time to cook and the kitchen cupboard’s bare, think again.

- What are you waiting for!

Ingredients - serves 4

  • 4 x 6oz/175g fresh wild salmon steaks
  • 1oz/25g butter
  • 1 wine glass of dry white wine such as Muscadet or Sauvignon, (it must be a good quality wine - not plonk!
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper

Method

Season the salmon steaks with salt and pepper.
Heat a heavy frying pan and melt the butter.
When the butter foams, add the salmon steaks and cook quickly on both sides.
Add the glass of wine, let it bubble then reduce the heat and cook for about 8 minutes.
There should only be a small amount of sauce left.

Serve with new potatoes and salad, accompanied by anotherglass of the white wine that you used to cook with.
