Smoked Salmon Recipe - Smoked Salmon & Caviar Blinis
This classic smoked salmon recipe is really easy, there’s no cooking involved so it’s perfect as part of a buffet, or starter on a special occasion such as Thanksgiving or Christmas.
Ingredients - serves 4 but easy to increase amounts
- 150g/5oz Sliced Smoked Salmon
- 150g/5oz Greek yoghurt (such as Total) or Sour Cream
- 1 lemon
- 1 x 12 pack Buckwheat Blinis (allow 3 each)
- 2oz/50g Caviar
- fresh dill
Method
Warm the Blinis according to the package instructions or under a grill.
On half of the Blinis lay a small strip of salmon followed by a scant teaspoon of yoghurt or sour cream. Top with a sprig of fresh dill.
Make up the rest of the blinis with a small teaspoon of sour cream topped with a scant ½ teasp caviar.
Arrange on a platter, alternating the smoked salmon with the caviar and lemon quarters.
Serve with a chilled Vodka or Champagne.
